Curation Process
Entry into WPC Team Australia is for all Australian photographers with any image, taken at any time, as long as it has never been entered into a WPC Team Australia previously. This year, we've decided to streamline the entry process and remove the Seeded/Unseeded entries of the past, whereby if an image had won an award, it was deemed Seeded and if it hadn't, it was Unseeded.

We still want to know if your images have won any awards when you submit, and this only assists us in our deliberations to find the best representation of the work of Australian photographers, and those that the curators feel, best suits the WPC categories.

At the close of the submission process, the WPC Team Australia Foundation Committee will commence the image curation process.

Expert curators from all fields of photography, the arts, and various companion fields will be invited to curate the submitted images and how they relate to the WPC Categories. They will be asked to select the Top 50 images which will be considered 'Finalists' which will receive a digital finalist certificate.

A new selection panel will then be tasked to take the Top 50 images from round one and make the final curation of the Team Australia Images.

Three images (3) will be selected for the ten (10) available WPC categories. Any photographer may have more than one image represent Team Australia however only one image per category per photographer is permitted.

The photographers of the final 30 images selected by the Curation Panel will be known as "Team Australia" and will receive a Digital Team Member Certificate and Commemorative Lapel Pin. They will then be kept informed by email from the nominated Team Captain of the ongoing WPC Judging, timeline and results.

Finalists and medalists within the World Photographic Cup Competition will receive an invitation to attend the annual WPC Awards Presentation at the location it will be held. All finalists and medalists will receive digital certificates and slides that can be used on their own social platforms.

The curators' decisions at all stages of the curation process will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
